MIXED MEDIA SCULPTURE
The mixed- media works employ everyday objects as the physical media, subject, and as metaphor, to explore both
personal and societal issues. As objects, every object is unique and carries a personalized energy from its
previous owner and from its nature. An object becomes: a message carrier; a metaphor for one’s
personal story, both revealing and mysterious; a place to hide; and always a shape to be explored and
manipulated. Digitally manipulated photos used as sculptural objects and media form core elements of this work.
